Reach forklifts are most suited to indoor projects. They are designed to operate in areas where counterbalance forklifts cannot reach to lift, so they are ideal for high-reach, narrow areas with lots of storage that regularly needs loading and unloading.
Warehouses with high racking often benefit from such a vehicle. The mast and forks extend forward to place loads deep into the racking, then retract so the truck can travel with the load held close to the body for stability.

Assessment and certification
Candidates complete a theory test, a practical pre-use inspection and an assessed practical driving test. Those who pass receive a certificate of basic training for the reach truck truck type. We recommend refresher training every three to five years in line with HSE guidance.
